A loan of $850 helped to install a large metal door.

Aida Nohemi's story

Aida Nohemi is originally from the city of Monterrey but for 13 years has been living in Piedras Negras for work purposes. She got a degree in education and has been working in her profession for 24 years. She is the mother of three children who are all married and independent.

Every morning she gets up very early to prepare her work materials for the day. She helps children who need extra classes in order to learn and she does this in two schools in Piedras Negras.

She is a person who likes to improve her living conditions, so she is requesting a KIVA loan to install a large metal door for more security at home. She now lives with a lot of insecurity and works most of the day, so in the future she would like to renovate her home and give free classes outside the home to children with learning problems who need help.
