A loan of $1,300 helped to buy fruit, vegetables, meat and other supplies to stock her grocery store.

Gertrudis's story

Gertrudis is married with four children, two of which are currently working in Argentina. Her two youngest children live with her and are the reason Gertrudis struggles every day to be able to provide for them the best she can. She owns a small, well-stocked grocery store that is very well-known in her neighborhood. One of Gertrudis' daughters helps her to take care of it. Her store and the help of her family allows Gertrudis to help her family get ahead. She was able to open the store with some money she saved from her previous job. Her husband works in a laundromat that they opened from their patio. With the earnings from both of these businesses, Gertrudis and her husband pay their household expenses.

Gertrudis is requesting this loan in order to buy fruit, vegetables, meat and other supplies to keep her grocery store stocked so that she can keep providing her customers with items they need.
