A loan of $975 helped a member to buy clothing for resale.

Los Girasoles Group's story

"Los Girasoles" is the name of a group made up of four enterprising and happy ladies. Each of them has her own business so that they can improve their families' quality of life. Blanca Estela sells clothing, Maria Isabel sells silver accessories, Luz del Carmen sells snacks, Flora sells clothing. This group is located in Tierra Blanca and they decided to call it "Girasoles" (Sunflowers) becasue there is a flower shop near the house where they meet and each day there were many arrangements with sunflowers.

Blanca Estela is one of the members. She is 28 years old and has a secondary school education. She is married and says that she decided to start her own business a year ago, in order to have a way to bring extra money into her household. She sells clothing on foot to her friends and neighbors in the evening. She also works in the mornings and takes advantage of her spare time to go out and make more sales. She is very happy that her business is growing little by little and is bringing in more customers. The look for her in her home in order to buy from her.

She is asking for this loan through Vision Fund so she can buy a variety of shirts, blouses, dresses, t-shirts, skirts, shorts, polo shirts, and undergarments so she can continue her sales.

She wants her business to continue improving and become established in the future.

The group is grateful to Vision Fund for this loan.
