A loan of $800 helped buy spare parts and pay for minibus repairs.

Viviam Gissell's story

Vivían is a mother of two small children (ages 11 and 5) who are both in school. They live in the city of Estelí. She works transporting children to school and at the moment serves two schools, making several routes per day. It has been a hard job and has required a lot of sacrifice. She and her husband contribute to the job. They started with one minibus that they bought with their savings. Later, they were able to buy another minibus by taking out a loan. They now have two small buses for their school transportation business. She feels like there is a large market where she can offer her services.

Her future goals are to buy another minibus, since demand is great. In addition, she soon hopes to grow as a business, since it is progressing. She is asking for this loan to buy spare parts and pay for repairs for one of the minibuses.

This loan will help her a lot, since it will improve her service and make her business more secure, since she will have two minibuses in good condition. Her hopes are to have a true fleet of transit vehicles and become a well-known entrepreneur.
