A loan of $1,075 helped buy women's, men's, and children's clothing.

Valentyna Vanessa's story

Velentyna is 21 years old and has a 1-year-old son, who is her inspiration to keep working hard, because she wants him to be well taken care of. Her parents are also entrepreneurs and she learned to be independent when she was very young. For this reason, she followed their example and sells women's, men's, and children's clothing. She started selling these clothes 5 years ago and hasn't stopped since then, selling in the Piojó, Pivijay, and Manatí communities.

She now sells on credit every day of the week and buys her clothes at a nearby city, where she gets good prices. Her goal is to increase her inventory so as to be better stocked. In the future, she dreams of having her own house and being able to send her son to get a good-quality, professional education and thereby reach his goals of success.

She is now applying for a Kiva loan and this is her first loan with Fundación Mario Santo Domingo. With this loan, she will buy women's, men's, and children's clothing with the aim of meeting demand. By so doing, she can start to fulfill her dream of obtaining prosperity.
