Thomas's story

Thomas is 43 years old, married and supporting five people. He runs a business selling fish in Muhoroni. He has been in this business for the last 18 years and makes an average monthly income of 30,000 Kenyan shillings (KES).

Thomas has requested a loan of 45,000 KES. He intends to use the loan to pay school fees for his children and also add more stock of fish to sell. He anticipates profits, which he will use to purchase a refrigerator to preserve fish as well as expand his business. Thomas's dreams and hopes are to educate all his children to university level and open a hotel [restaurant] in his town.
