Ruth Marina's story

Ruth, 35, lives in the district of Parcona in Ica, Peru. She is the mother of a 7-year-old daughter who she loves very much. Every day she works tirelessly to give her daughter all the opportunities she can.

Ruth works every day in her small business selling health products. She spends around ten hours a day and uses the profits she makes to cover household expenses. She believes business is prospering because she is kind to customers and, also, because her daughter is her best motivation to get ahead.

Ruth is very grateful to Kiva lenders because thanks to your help she will be able to buy school supplies such as notebooks, uniforms, etc. for her daughter. Ruth will be able to continue working and providing for her daughter, while also striving to reach her goal of: "Giving her daughter a good education and owning a store one day".
