A loan of $150 helped to buy a tricycle to increase his sales and to buy basic supplies such as rice, oil, beans and bags for condiments, to make the food.

Edwin Jose's story

Edwin lives in the city of Estelí and has a two-year-old daughter. He makes a living making fried foods and, in the afternoon, sells corn on the cob. Edwin has no problem doing this work as the most important thing is to have a decent job so that he can bring home an income. Edwin started this work when he realised he needed to bring in an income. He has been working since he was a teenager and enjoys working as it means he can buy things. Edwin's plan for the future is to hire two young people to go out on tricycles to sell as well.

Edwin needs this loan to buy a tricycle to increase his sales and to buy basic supplies such as rice, oil, beans and bags for condiments, to make the food.

Edwin thinks that this loan will help him a lot a having a tricycle will help him take his products out to customers. This makes him feel glad as the Estelí market is very large and, with more sellers working there, he will be able to get further and find new customers.
