Elgiba's story

Elgiba is a 62-year-old single mother with six children, all of whom are grown up. She currently lives in her own home with her youngest daughter and her little grandson. Elgiba makes a living selling cold beverages like soft drinks, bottled water and beer. She distributes her products daily among her neighbors and occasional customers. She has been doing this job for the past 20 years, and it is going very well. On top of that, she works with the help of her daughter. Elgiba really enjoys working this way because it gives her free time to spend with her grandson, whom she loves so much and for whom she wants to provide the best. She is requesting a loan and is very pleased to receive the financial support that will allow her to continue with her business. Furthermore, she promises to make her payments on time. With the loan, she will progressively purchase more beverages, such as soft drinks, beer and bottled water, so she can continue with her work.
