A loan of $1,250 helped to buy wood, varnish, paints and other materials for making furniture.

Cecilio's story

49-year-old Cecilio is single and has five children. He lives with his son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren in a small village in Intibucá. He has been farming since he was young, growing corn and beans, and also doing building work. 27 years ago he managed to set up his own furniture-making workshop where he makes doors, windows, kitchen cabinets, tables, chairs, wardrobes, etc. His workshop is located in his home and his customers come from his community.

Cecilio has decided to take out a loan for 25,000 lempiras to buy wood, varnish, paints and other materials for making some pieces of furniture that he needs to finish. His goal is to save for his future, his son and his family.
