A loan of $1,400 helped a member to purchase fabrics to sell door to door.

Afepeb Group's story

AFEPEB is a group of nine persons whose members live together. The group's representative, Albertine, is the one in the photo with her hand raised. She is 45 years old and no longer lives with her husband. Albertine did not go to school. She has two children, of whom one is in school. Both are in her care. She lives alone with her children.

To meet the needs of the family, Albertine has been selling fabrics door to door for eight years. She gets her supplies from a market in Benin.

With the goal of bolstering her business and satisfying the demands of her customers, Albertine joined with the other member of the group AFEPEB to request a second loan from ALIDé. The previous loan was indeed paid back.
