A loan of $1,000 helped to purchase various items for resale.

Boubou's story

Boubou was born in around 1970. Married and the father of six children, he lives with his two wives in a traditional family in the Fana-coura district of the town of Fana - in the Koulikoro region of the Republic of Mali.
Boubou began buying and selling various objects about ten years ago. He is much sought after by his customers, due to the quality of his products. With the objective of meeting the demand from this growing and increasingly demanding customer base, he decided to collaborate with Soro Yiriwaso.
He is on his sixth loan, and all the previous five are fully repaid - often early. With this new loan, he intends to purchase a significant quantity of the following items: Telephone covers, watches, radios, batteries, glasses and pouches for mobile phones - all from wholesalers in Bamako.
His products are sold in Fana market from a stand at the side of the road. His customers are both male and female.
He plans to make a monthly profit of 140,000F CFA which he will use partly to cover family expenses, and the rest will be put back into the business.
