A loan of $5,650 helped a member to buy more sacks of charcoal.

Peacock Group's story

Epimack, who is in his mid 30s, is married with two daughters who are still going to school. He has had two businesses, a retail shop and a charcoal business, for five years now. He works from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm daily and is able to make a fair monthly profit.

This will be Epimack's 4th loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. He used the previous loans to restock the missing items in his shop's inventory, and to start his business of selling charcoal. He has paid back all his loans successfully. He used the profit to renovate his house, pay school fees and cover household expenses. He will use this loan to buy more sacks of charcoal. He dreams of expanding his business.

Epimack will share this loan with his loan group, "Peacock," which has ten members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
