A loan of $950 helped to purchase groceries for his business.

Jalal's story

Jalal is a 30-year-old man living in Taiz, Yemen. He completed secondary school but was not able to proceed further with his studies due to the difficult living conditions he faced. Jalal's business is a grocery store, which he started six years ago. He worked hard to raise money to establish the business as it was to be the starting point of his young life. He was able to gain many customers and he is now inspired to expand his capital and income by purchasing all the grocery items needed by members of his neighborhood. To do this, he has taken a youth loan of 200,000 YER from AMB. In the future, he hopes to expand his business by opening a supermarket.
