A loan of $1,500 helped to buy goods such as rice, vegetables, etc.

Angelica's story

Angélica, 53, is married to Sergio and they have four children. They all live together in an adobe house they bought when they were married. Angélica sells groceries such as rice, sugar, vegetables and other widely consumed items. Every day she opens her doors to business very early in the morning to tend to customers who are neighbors and friends. She is known for being very kind and cordial which has made her a beloved, well-known neighbor.

She says she began her business little by little out of a space in her home which faces the street. It allows her to spend time with the family almost all day while contributing to the household economy. This is her second loan through Kiva and she is very grateful for it and determined to get ahead. She is requesting 4,000 PEN to buy goods such as rice, sugar, sodas, vegetables and canned foods.
