A loan of $1,325 helped to buy fertilizers, manure, and liquid fertilizers (for foliar feeding) for her coffee crops.

Alba Luz's story

Alba is a 35 year old woman and the mother of five children. Her three eldest children, together with her partner, farm the land, sowing and growing coffee. Alba did not complete her primary education. She was only able to study up to her third year and was unable to continue owing to a lack of financial support from her parents, who taught her how to farm from a very young age. Together with her partner, Alba has been working the land for more than 15 years. They own their own land as they worked hard and with great determination to acquire their own land so that they didn't have to rent. Their land is located 100 meters from their home and they are able to walk there to tend their crops. They sell their crops in the local market and to different buyers who come to their region.

Alba is currently requesting help to buy fertilizers, manure and liquid fertilizers (for foliar feeding) for her crops. This will strengthen her coffee beans and keep her crops healthy.

Alba's dream is for her children to become successful professionals. She wants each of them to be a success and to realize their dreams and goals.
