Mary Jean's story

Mary Jean is from the village of San Carlos, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur. She is 38 years old, married, and has three children. To make a living, Mary Jean owns and operates a general store. The main source of income for the business comes from selling daily use products in the local community. Aside from her general store, they have a rice farm managed by her husband. In order to purchase fertilizer and to pay for weeding, she borrowed an amount of 20,000 from GDMPC, which she had joined in 2009. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve the general living conditions of her family.
