A loan of $575 helped to buy alpaca and sheep wool.

Jose's story

José was born in the Cotañi community and still lives there. He is 43 years old, married and has five children. He is hard-working and enterprising and is moving forward in life with a lot of effort and work. José makes a living in construction, in agriculture, raising cattle and raising animals such as sheep, guinea pigs, pigs and hens. He also does artisan crafts, making hats, blankets and scarves with alpaca and sheep wool. José has been a member of the "Sumaq Paqari" communal bank for some years and, on this occasion, he needs a loan in order to buy alpaca and sheep wool.

(The Cotañi community is part of the Huancarani district in the Paucartamo province of the department of Cusco, Peru).
