Serapia Teodora's story

Teodora was born in the community of Cotañi and still lives there. She is 55 years old and single. Teodora is a hardworking and enterprising person who has been able to get ahead with a great deal of effort and work. Farming is her main business activity and she has several plots of land on which she grows barley, oats, beans, and other crops. Teodora also raises small animals, such as guinea pigs and chickens. She has been part of the Communal Bank “Sumaq Paqari” for several years and is taking this opportunity to request a loan in order to buy more guinea pigs.

The community of Cotañi is part of the District of Huancarani in Paucartambo Province, Department of Cusco, Peru.
