Lina's story

Lina is 54 years old, married, with three children. She lives with her husband and her son Ivan, who is 30 years old. They live together in a house that her husband inherited. Lina is a seamstress. She cuts and sews clothing and underclothes for women, men and children. She learned this skill from studying at an occupational school. She has been doing this work for twenty years. At first she had one sewing machine that she bought with her savings. She works in a sufficient space in her home. Now she has two sewing machines, which allow her to finish a project in less time. Her customers are mainly people she knows and her neighbors. They know the quality of her work. She likes her work and feels comfortable doing it. This is why she would like to increase the size of her workshop. This would make her more comfortable and she would also have room to show her finished products. She is requesting a loan of 3800 soles. She is thankful for the financial support that will help her increase her business. With the money that she is requesting she will buy a serger machine and more sewing supplies such as fabric, thread, elastic and other things.
