Nelis Del Carmen's story

56-year-old Nelis lives in the city of Managua. She is a widow and the mother of two grown-up children.

She is the owner of a grocery store, a business that she started 6 years ago when she had very little capital and sold very little. But the needs of the customers were constant and this gave her the drive to invest the profits in supplying her shop little by little. The shop is in her home.

She longs to make her house bigger to expand the space for her grocery store and convert it into a corner shop well-stocked with groceries and domestic-use products. She is applying for the loan to buy rice, sugar, soda, cheese, chicken, meat, detergents, soap, oil e.t.c
