A loan of $650 helped to purchase compost, fertilizer and other supplies for her coffee crop.

Olimpia's story

Olimpia is a hard-working, enterprising young woman who's only 28 years old. She has two children who attend different grades of elementary school. She lives with them and her husband in a solid, very well-established household. She has completed elementary school, which she was able to do through a great deal of effort and sacrifice thanks to the support provided by her parents. For many generations her entire family has worked in farming, specifically growing coffee. Her generation is no exception, since the area where she lives is very suitable for sowing and growing coffee because of its soil and its pleasant weather. The plot of land where she sows was acquired through her parents and there they were able to build their home. This allows them to be on top of things regarding their crops and their produce.

She currently requests help to maintain and take care of her crops by purchasing compost, fertilizer and other supplies that ensure and improve her coffee plants and production.

Her plan is to continue expanding her crop, since the land she inherited from her parents is large and she could grow a wider variety of produce to offer her customers. That way she'll be able to earn profits for her family and her children, and provide them with a college education.
