A loan of $800 helped to buy lamps, paintings, ornaments, clocks and other things.

Luz Daris's story

Luz, 24, trades in handcrafted items and sells paintings at her home in the south of the city, where she lives with her partner and two daughters aged 3 and 7 months. Luz has two years of experience in her business, which she learnt from her parents. She has been working in this field for several years and has involved her partner who covers the different areas of the Atlantico region of Bolivar. She makes her sales on credit from Monday to Saturday 8am - 6pm, when she goes from town to town after buying products in the city centre.

Her goal is to expand her portfolio and raise her sales so that one day she can have her own home as a result of her hard work and savings. She is currently applying for a Kiva Loan, which she will use to buy lamps, paintings, ornaments, clocks and other articles that her customers have ordered and that she sees displayed on the market, which makes this an exciting investment.
