Maria Veronica's story

María is a 46-year-old woman. She is a fighter. She is enterprising, strong, and very eager to improve herself. She is married and has three dependent children who live at home and go to school, where they are completing different grades. She has been a farmer for over ten years and especially works growing vegetables and basic grains like beans. Regarding her level of education, she completed primary school, and she is grateful to her parents for striving to give her the opportunity of going to school and acquiring basic knowledge. Her crops are located at a distance of sixteen kilometers from her home. She travels to work daily by bus, along with her husband. Her products are sold in and around the area where she lives, among her neighbors and surrounding areas.

She is currently requesting help to buy supplies, fertilizer, and certified seeds so that she can plant on her property, because she wants to make the most of some empty space she has and make use of it.

Her goals are to be able to grow the products she will purchase, maintain them as much as possible and as needed in order to obtain a good harvest, and generate good income to improve her family. Her dream is to see her children get a college-level degree.
