Janet's story

Janet is 41 years old and a single mother of two children, with whom she lives in her own home.

Janet has a food stall, which is located in a very busy corner near her house. She sells many regional dishes at night, such as juane (rice and chicken wrapped in a banana leaf), tacacho (mashed plantain), grilled meats and others. During the evenings she prepares each of the dishes that delight the palate of her clients everyday.

She has been working in this field for the past five years. She likes to work this way because she has the time to do other things and to give the necessary time to her young son who, at his young age, needs his mother.

Janet is requesting a loan of 1,000 PEN. She is very happy to know that she will have financial support, which makes her feel safe to move forward with her business, and she agrees to comply with the timely payments. With the amount requested Janet will gradually buy the ingredients and supplies she needs to continue her work, such as rice, eggs, olives, chicken, fish, and others.
