A loan of $3,500 helped a member to buy more new clothes to resell.

Nikel Group's story

HAWA, who is in her early 30s, is married with two children who go to school. She has been selling new clothes door to door for both men and women. She has been in this business for two years now. She works from 11:00am to 3:00pm daily and is able to make a good monthly profit.

This will be Hawa's 7th loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to increase her stock of clothes. She also sold charcoal for some time. She has paid back her loans successfully. She used the profit to cover household expenses. She will use this loan to buy more new clothes to resell. Her dream is to one day be able to build her own house.

Hawa will share this loan with her loan group, "Nikel", with 15 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
