Ishrat's story

Ishrat is a 37-year-old married woman. She lives in a rural area of Lahore, Pakistan. She is a mother of two children. She belongs to a middle class family. Her husband is the only person earning in the family. He owns an embroidery shop which is the only source of income for his family. His monthly income is inadequate to meet the household needs.

Currently, he needs to purchase embroidery related items such as variety of threads, stones etc. However due to the lack of cash he finds it difficult. Therefore, Ishrat has requested for a loan from Kiva's partner BRAC Pakistan to purchase the things needed for her husband's business. She hopes that the loan will be helpful for her husband. She wants to provide quality education to her children. She is very thankful to Kiva and BRAC Pakistan.
