A loan of $2,475 helped a member to buy fabric, thread, needles and other supplies.

San Lorenzo Group's story

The San Lorenzo group is in its first loan cycle of the women's communal bank programme and currently has 15 members. It is characterized by responsibility, and the members are thankful for this opportunity that they and their families receive. One worthy and notable story is that of 36-year-old Natividad. She has been a weaver for 12 years. In the company of her husband and children she weaves all kinds of hammocks, blankets and tablecloths and sells them in the city of Carapeguá, having her customer base there. She says that thanks to the effort she has made, she has been able to grow and get to where she is today. She is applying for this loan to invest in buying fabric, thread, needles and other supplies so she can carry on with her embroidery and also increase the number of customers she has.

In this group: Sarminia, Vicenta, Angela, Petronilda, Eulalia, Ramona, Natividad, Matilde, María, María, Lilian, Cinyhia, Daniela, Celsa, Pelagia
