A loan of $650 helped to buy seeds and fertilizer for zucchini cultivation.

Edgar Enrique's story

Edgar is a married, 35-year-old man who has two children, one female and one male. They live in Sololá. He makes a living cultivating snow peas and zucchini. He has worked in this activity for five years. He chose this work because it is very profitable due to the fact that it is a certified product and this allows him to have acceptable prices in the national and international market.

He is requesting a loan of 5,000 quetzales (GTQ) to purchase seed and fertilizer for the cultivation of zucchini. His dream is to purchase a cuerda (a plot of land) to increase his production since he currently only has two cuerdas of land.
