A loan of $1,125 helped to pay for fertilizer, irrigation and harvest costs.

Rosalia Isabel's story

Rosalía, 35, is single and lives in the city of Camaná. She is a kind, hard-working, enthusiastic person who makes every effort to get ahead. Unfortunately, due to a lack of economic resources and the need to work from a very young age to help her parents, Rosalía was not able to get the Agronomy degree she would have liked. In her free time she enjoys watching movies and sometimes even cooks a delicious chicken stew to share with family.

On her own initiative and with much determination and dedication, Rosalia works in agriculture. She owns a small patch of land where she grows beans and works about ten hours a day on her field chores. She believes things are going well because of her experience and kindness toward others.

Rosalia is very grateful to Kiva lenders because thanks to your help she will be able to pay for fertilizer, irrigation and harvest costs. This will insure that her crop develops the way it should, allowing her to continue working and striving toward her goal of expanding her plantation.
