A loan helped to buy fertilizers and hire workers for planting season.

José Pedro's story

José, 31, is married and has four children. At age ten, he started learning the farming trade from his father and at age 20 became independent. In order to buy farm supplies he must walk from his house for about 30 minutes and then pay for transportation to get to the city. Most of the time he walks all the way to the city, though, which takes an hour. To get the goods back home he has to hire a cart.

The loan his is requesting through Fundación Campo is to buy fertilizers and hire workers for the planting season. This will allow him to harvest food for his family and also sell grain. The income will be used to buy clothing, shoes and other necessities for his family.
