A loan of $575 helped to buy soft drinks.

Delia's story

Delia is 67 years old, widowed, and the mother of eight children whom she raised and educated alone over time because her husband passed away a long time ago. She lives in a home of her own with two of her youngest children. Delia sells carbonated drinks and set up an area in her home where she serves her customers. She has done this work alone for two years.

She was selling vegetables a long time ago, but she began growing the business and also wanted to make another investment and multiply her earnings, so she decided to change products and now things are going much better for her. She has good earnings and now she wants to continue growing and set up a soda fountain in her place. This will be her second Kiva loan and she is very happy to know that she has financial backing with which to continue ahead. She is also committed to being on time with her payments. She will use the 1,500 PEN from this loan to buy a variety of soft drinks in quantity.
