A loan of $300 helped to purchase more charcoal.

Rebecca's story

This is 43-year-old Rebecca from Liberia. She resides in Congo Town, a suburb just outside Monrovia. The area is one of the most populated areas in Montserrado County with one of the best standards of living in the country: good roads, access to clean water, affordable rents and plentiful transportation options.

Rebecca is single with two children aged 13 and 8. Her children are currently attending school and are living with her at home. She runs a shop selling charcoal. She describes herself as a serious businesswoman. She started her business six years ago, using money given to her by her fiancee. Typically, she works 7am to 4pm from Monday to Saturday at her business and transports her goods to her business by bus. She cites her greatest challenge as small income. She is proud of her business because it allows her to support her children.

Using the proceeds of this loan, she intends to purchase more charcoal. In the future, she plans to build her house and educate her children. She sincerely thanks you in advance for your support.
