A loan of $375 helped to buy products such as rice, sugar, eggs, canned fish, and more.

Alberto's story

Alberto, 62, is a friendly man and a dreamer. He lives in his own house with his wife and 8-year-old child. Alberto makes a living selling groceries such as rice, sugar, flour, milk, eggs, and more. He sells these groceries from a room of his home. He has been doing this work for four years and his client base has increased favorably.

He began doing this work due to the need to support his family and also because he cannot do hard labor because he had an accident at his prior job. He indicates that his business is profitable because it makes good revenue, and is located in a place accessible to all.

He hopes to continue maintaining his business in order to get ahead and increase his sales. This will be his fifth loan with Kiva and he hopes to continue being a punctual member. With the amount requested - 1000 soles - he will buy more grocery products such as rice, sugar, eggs, canned fish, and more, since if his business offers variable products he will have a larger quantity of customers and he will increase his earnings.
