Intihuatana Group's story

These members all belong to the "Intihuatana" communal bank which is in the Urcos district of the Quispicanchis province in the department of Cusco.

Member Epifania is 49 years old, separated and has three children. She makes a living selling vegetables, having had her business for some years. The business is going well thanks to her determination at work every day. Epifania is a street vendor and she works at the door of one of the area's markets. She sells carrots, onions and more and, at the same time, she works at night selling animal fodder. She wants to continue working so that she can continue supporting her family.

Epifania is applying for a loan in order to buy vegetables such as onions, carrots, lettuce and more.

The other members of the communal bank have various businesses such as selling vegetables, selling corn, selling flowers, selling clothes, raising young animals, a restaurant and as a tradesman.

The member in the separate photo arrived late for the main photo due to work committments.

Epifania is grateful to those helping her achieve her dreams through Kiva and she promises to make her repayments on time.
