A loan of $975 helped to buy stock for her retail shop.

Florence's story

Florence operates a retail shop in Gangu, Kampala. She is a mother of three and married to a man who works with Posta Uganda. She is a hotelier by profession. She started this business because she was not earning enough money from the hotel she was working for.
Florence is a second time borrower and this time she is applying for UGX 2,500,000 (Two million five hundred thousand shillings). The purpose of this money is to add more stock to the business and expand it. Her future plan is to use the profits to expand her retail shop and make it a supermarket. She hopes the supermarket will generate more income to build a family house. Florence looks forward to a successful partnership with the Kiva lenders.
