In order to strengthen her business and satisfy her clientèle, Pascaline is requesting a loan from ALIDé, together with the other members of the La Victoire group. Her aim is to further diversify her business so that she can increase her income.
Le groupement LA VICTOIRE est composé de onze membres qui sont des cohabitantes. La présidente de ce groupement, du nom de Pascaline âgée de 60 ans, est celle qui a la main levée sur la photo. Dans le but de rehausser le niveau de leur activité afin de mieux faire face à la demande de leur clientèle, ce groupement sollicite pour une quatrième fois l'appui financier de ALIDé. Pascaline est mariée à un certain Christophe. Le couple a cinq enfants, tous scolarisés et à leur charge. Pascaline et son mari assurent ensemble les charges de ménage. Il y a environs six ans que Pascaline mène comme activité la vente de divers produits (pâtes alimentaires, sucre, etc.) dans une région du Bénin. Pascaline s'approvisionne dans un marché du Bénin. Dans le but de renforcer son activité et de satisfaire sa clientèle, Pascaline sollicite un crédit auprès de ALIDé, ensemble avec les autres membres du groupe LA VICTOIRE. Son ambition est de diversifier davantage son activité afin d'accroître son revenu.

About Alidé

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients.
