Aleksandr and his family live in the village of Khashtarak which is in Tavush area. He and his wife are devoted parents who take care of three children. They have a son and two daughters; the elder one has recently gotten married and lives separately with her family. Aleksandr and his wife, who is unemployed, have a small and comfortable farm and they do everything together and with pleasure. For many years Aleksandr has worked at the Ijevan Construction Company as a mechanization specialist. But the main income that his family has is from farming, which has given Aleksandr an opportunity to buy new furniture for his house and to organize his elder daughter’s marriage.
On their farm they have two cows, two piglets and ten chickens. Their farm is not a very big one, but his plans and desire to make it rich and profitable is very strong. Nor Horizon knows Aleksandr as a very responsible and accurate person since, he has taken a loan seven times before and has paid them back on time. This time he decided to cooperate with Kiva and he asks for a loan of 350,000 Armenian Drams to buy a young cow. He thinks that this purchase will bring a good profit to his family.
