A loan of $950 helped to buy quinoa at wholesale.

Delia Ayde's story

Delia’s 21-years-old and works as a quinoa merchant. Her store is located in the city of La Paz’s Batallas neighborhood. This loan is her first sequence in the institution and Delia will use the loan to buy quinoa at wholesale to stock up on this product that’s in high demand by the population for its high nutritional value. Her reason for requesting the loan is to increase working capital because this is a season when this product sells very well plus it is harvest season. The business challenge Delia faces is competition. She will use profits to continue expanding her merchandise. Delia’s a young, very hardworking person who feels happy for the opportunity she’s getting from the granted loan because she’s starting out in this activity and in time wants to become a deposit center for this product as well as for wheat and other cereals.
