The members of Sindjiya Group are married woman who average 34 years of age and 4 children. They live in extended traditional families in the Fana-Coura neighborhood in Fana, Koulikouro Region (second administrative region of the Republic of Mali).

The got acquainted through bonds of kinship, neighborhood and friendship. They sell food products, soaps, clothing and juices, and are seeking their third solidarity loan (group loan).

Mamou is the woman in the center of the standing row. She intends to buy two kilograms of meat, about ten loafs of bread, and half a liter of oil, to make sandwiches that she sells near Fouta High School, mostly to students and to other people.

She foresees turning an average monthly profit of XOF 20'000 (ca US$ 40) to be used in part to provide for her family, and in part to reinvest in her business.

Les femmes du groupe Sindjiya, sont mariées, ont en moyenne 34 ans, 4 enfants et vivent toutes dans des familles traditionnelles élargies dans la ville de Fana, quartier Fana-coura, Région de Koulikoro (deuxième région administrative de la république du Mali). Elles se sont connues à travers des liens de parenté, de voisinage et d’amitié. Elles font le commerce d’aliments, de savon, des habits et de jus.
Les femmes du groupe Sindjiya sont à leur troisième prêt solidaire.
La cliente MAMOU, au milieu dans le rang des débout, compte acheter deux kilogramme de viande, une dizaine de miche de pain, un demi-litre d’huile pour la préparation du Sandwich qu’elle vend à proximité du lycée FOUTA essentiellement aux élèves et à diverse autres personnes.
Elle envisage réaliser un bénéfice moyen mensuel de 20 000FCFA qui sera utilisé pour les besoins de la famille et une partie est réinvestie dans l’activité.

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients. Kiva lenders’ funds will enable Soro Yiriwaso to expand its outreach and target even more underserved Malians involved in business and agriculture.
