A loan of $350 helped to purchase goods (chicken, rice, cooking oil, flour, beans, etc.) in order to stock up on merchandise.

Angela's story

Angela is married and has two children, all of whom are adults. She lives in a house that she owns and doesn't support anyone else. She's a merchant who sells foodstuffs. With the current loan she intends to purchase goods (chicken, rice, cooking oil, flour, beans, etc.) in order to stock up on merchandise. Her wish for the future is to expand her business by diversifying her merchandise. For that reason she pledges to repay the loan as scheduled, so she can request more loans from Hluvuku. The challenge she faces is creating ways to make her business more sustainable.
