The 10 members of the WASSA II group are married. On average, they are 32 years old and have 2 children. They all live in traditional families in SANZANA, a village in the 3rd administrative region of Mali (SIKASSO).

They are collaborating with the microfinance organization Soro Yiriwaso in order to be successful with their agricultural activities during the rainy season. This is their fourth farming loan with the organization and all of their previous loans were reimbursed.

They grow peanuts, and KOROTOUMOU is standing second from the right. With her loan, she would like to buy farm inputs to maintain 0.25 hectares of land. After the harvest, their products are sold in the village to a clientele composed of men and women.

She would like to earn a monthly profit of 40,000 FCFA per loan. These profits will allow her to repay her loan and to reinvest in her business.

Les dix membres du groupe WASSA II sont des femmes mariées ayant une moyenne d’âge de 32 ans, 2 enfants et vivant toutes dans des familles traditionnelle à SANZANA, un des villages de la 3ème région administrative du Mali (SIKASSO).
Elles collaborent avec l’institution de microfinance Soro Yiriwaso afin de mener à bien leurs activités agricoles pendant l’hivernage.
Elles sont à leur quatrième prêt de campagne agricole avec l’institution et tous les prêts précédents ont été correctement remboursés.
La spéculation cultivée est : l’arachide avec KOROTOUMOU 2 eme à droite sur la photo position débout.
Avec son prêt, elle compte acheter des intrants pour entretenir : 0,25 hectare.
La production est vendue au niveau du village, après la récolte à une clientèle composée d’hommes et de femmes.
Elle compte réaliser un bénéfice moyen de 40 000FCFA par campagne.
Ce bénéfice lui permettra de payer son prêt et aussi de réinvestir le reste dans l’entreprise.

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients. Kiva lenders’ funds will enable Soro Yiriwaso to expand its outreach and target even more underserved Malians involved in business and agriculture.
