Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Dilbaara's story

Dilbaara is 51 years old and has raised three children. In order to support her family she offers produce, livestock and diary for sale. She started her farm in 1988 with 2,000 som. Due to her diligence Dilbaara now has two milk cows and ten sheep and makes 5,000 som (KGS) monthly profits. In order to further develop her business Dilbaara has turned to micro-finance bank "Bai-Tushum and partners" for a loan of 100,000 som (KGS). She will use this loan to purchase more livestock. Dilbaara plans to invest the profits from this loan back into her business so that she can pay for her son's wedding.
