Dilshod's story

Dilshod lives in a village far from urban centers. He is the main provider for his large family and has two underage children. Dilshod repairs private houses and has learned this trade in while working in Russia. He travels to Russia every year between May and October, and spends the winter fixing houses in his home village. Dilshod's family lives in his father's old house and he wants to save enough money to properly repair it. He also grows grain on one hectare of irrigated land and grows potatoes on 0.6 hectare. The profits from farming are used to support his family. As he is gone during the summer the main burden of farming and taking care of livestock falls on his wife Malika. Dilshod plans to go to Russia this summer as well, but has no money for the airplane ticket. He is requesting a loan of 3000 somoni to purchase a airfare.
