Edwin Edilberto's story

Edwin, 43, is married and has three children: two girls and a boy. He lives in a neighborhood in the municipality of Quimistán, Santa Bárbara. He used to just work in construction but 12 years ago started his own business manufacturing concrete blocks to build houses, walls and others. The blocks are of different sizes and he sells them to order. His business is in a rented space and he’s kept it going by means of several loan he’s invested into it.

He’s currently requesting his 9th loan for 21,000 Lempiras that he’ll use to buy supplies like cement and sand to manufacture the blocks. His idea is that the business becomes one of the best in the town and to be able to improve his family’s standard of living.
