A loan of $5,475 helped to purchase much needed stock, including Ethiopian spices and specialty products.

Yonatan's story

Yonatan immigrated to Israel from Ethiopia in 2002. He is a determined young man who has gained on-hand business experience. Yonatan used his savings and an army grant to open a small specialty spice and legumes store. He sells Middle Eastern and Ethiopian products that are in high demand. His store is located near the open-air market (Shuk) in Haifa, and he has created an aesthetically pleasing and clean environment with a good customer base. He provides longer store hours and competitive prices.

Yonatan used this loan to purchase much needed stock, including Ethiopian spices and specialty products.

Yonatan is dedicated to succeeding and has his family’s support. He has serious potential, and this loan is making his dream possible. He is taking part in business development courses, and hopes to further expand his business and one day even have a staff of workers.
