Irene's story

Irene lives in the Mariakani area of Coast province, Kenya. She is a married mother of four school-going children. She started her farming business from her own savings and then applied for a loan, which she used to buy another animal.

Irene is faced with the challenges of limited space in her current cow shed and a lack of a food store. She is therefore applying for a loan of 93,900 Kenya shillings (KES) to construct a shed and a feed store. This will assist her to store enough feed for use during dry seasons.
