Raisa's story

Raisa is 66 years old and a widow. She works with cattle and sells milk. She started this business in 1993, buying one dairy cow for 5,000 somoni. This business is the main source of income for her family. Thanks to her hard work, today she has one bull, one dairy cow, and her monthly income is 8,000 somoni. With the goal of further developing her business, Raisa has turned to the microfinance bank Bai Tushum and Partners for a loan of 60,000 somoni to buy an additional dairy cow. Raisa plans to use the income from the loan to further increase her herd. She also plans to save for her grandson.
