A loan of $4,950 helped a member to restock the salon.

Waefeso Group's story

Asha, who is in her mid-40s, is married and has three children who are still going to school. She has been running a beauty salon since 2007. She works from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily and is able to make a good monthly profit.

This will be Asha's third loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to buy a dryer and more salon equipment, and she has paid back all her loans successfully. She used the profit to pay school fees and cover household expenses.

She will use this loan to restock the out of stock items in the salon. Her dream is to one day be able to open a cosmetics shop.

Asha will share this loan with her loan group "Waefeso," which has 11 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
