A loan helped to purchase a buffalo to sell its milk.

Waris's story

Waris is 52 years old, a hard-working man. He lives in Lahore, Pakistan. He is a father of six children, three daughters and three sons. He is a milk seller by trade which is the only source of income for the family. He has two buffaloes and he sells their milk in the market. He is a poor old person and he has to do a lot of hard work because he is the only earning member of the family.

Presently he wants to purchase one more buffalo to grow his business and to increase his net income and savings as well. However due to the lack of expenses he finds it difficult.

Therefore Waris has requested a loan in the amount of 100,000 PKR from Kiva's partner BRAC Pakistan, so that he can purchase a buffalo.

Waris is very thankful to Kiva and BRAC Pakistan.
